About the role
Wiley|Wilson, a 100% employee-owned architecture and engineering firm, is seeking a new graduate to join their Structural Engineering team in Alexandria, VA. As a Structural Engineer-in-Training (EIT), you'll work alongside experienced structural engineers to analyze and design structural systems for various projects and clients.
Responsibilities
- Perform structural analysis and design calculations
- Prepare reports and design drawings
- Research design solutions
- Assist with quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Conduct field investigations to observe existing conditions and verify construction
- Collaborate with architects and civil, mechanical, electrical, and other engineering professionals
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Civil Engineering with a structural concentration from an ABET-accredited institution
- Passed Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) Exam by the start date
- Preferred AutoCAD and Revit experience
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Solid work ethic and eagerness to learn
- Effective interpersonal and communication skills
Qualifications
- Candidates must be eligible to work in the United States and able to obtain a security clearance
