Structural Engineer/Designer

Primary Responsibilities

• Plans, designs, and facilitates the execution of structural elements for new building designs and/or building expansions, or renovations according to building codes and regulations.
• Collaborates with internal project teams to advise on suitable project materials, designs and layouts, keeping in mind the client’s needs, desires, and financial resources.
• Calculates load tolerances and stresses for various structures, and prepares preliminary reports, designs and drawings integrating engineering, electrical and HVAC considerations.
• Affords guidance and direction to internal team members and external clients throughout all phases of the projects.
• Modifies new or existing plans as required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering or equivalent combination of education and experience required.
• Master’s degree preferred.
• 5-7 years’ experience in steel, concrete, masonry and structural engineering design or related field(s).
