Structural Engineer
About the Role
The client is seeking a Structural Engineer to support the design, analysis, and optimization of structural components used in water and wastewater treatment equipment. Working as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team, you will apply structural engineering principles to develop safe, reliable, and cost-effective designs that meet customer specifications, industry standards, and regulatory requirements. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to essential infrastructure projects while supporting product innovation and manufacturing efficiency.
- Design and analyze structural components, equipment supports, frames, and foundations.
- Prepare structural calculations, engineering drawings, and technical specifications.
- Develop design improvements that enhance product performance, manufacturability, and cost efficiency.
- Collaborate with Mechanical, Process, Manufacturing, and Project Engineering teams throughout the product lifecycle.
- Provide technical support during project execution, including engineering clarifications and design reviews.
- Ensure compliance with applicable structural codes, engineering standards, and safety regulations.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives focused on product design, manufacturing efficiency, and standardization.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Structural Engineering, Civil Engineering (Structural emphasis), or a related engineering discipline.
- Active Professional Engineer (P.E.) and/or Structural Engineer (S.E.) license.
- Minimum 2 years of structural engineering experience.
- Working knowledge of structural engineering principles, design codes, and industry standards.
- Experience using structural analysis and design software.
- Proficiency with CAD software for engineering drawings and design documentation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively within a collaborative engineering environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience designing structures or equipment for water and wastewater treatment facilities.
- Experience supporting industrial equipment, process equipment, or heavy manufacturing environments.
- Familiarity with fabrication, manufacturing, or field installation support.
