Structural Engineer

Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a team of over 200 design professionals, including a large Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEPS) Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, such as water and wastewater treatment, plant structures, industrial facilities, school and healthcare buildings, higher education facilities, office and commercial buildings, structural evaluations, and civil/site structures. The MEPS group serves clients across North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina, with repeat clients including major hospital systems, universities, and government agencies. Responsibilities

• Provide technical assistance and mentor structural engineering design staff on projects.
• Work with the design team across multiple offices and disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
• Develop and maintain high-value client relationships.
• Meet client deadlines and project budgets.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
• Professional Engineering (PE) License in North Carolina, Virginia, or Florida, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within one year of start date.
• Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
• A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
• Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines and clients.
• Experience using structural software such as RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.
• Solid verbal and written communication skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office software.
• Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
