Structural Engineer
Dewberry’s Raleigh, North Carolina office is seeking a Structural Engineer to join a team of over 200 design professionals, including a large Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing, and Structural (MEPS) Group. This role offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of projects, such as water and wastewater treatment, plant structures, industrial facilities, school and healthcare buildings, higher education facilities, office and commercial buildings, structural evaluations, and civil/site structures. The MEPS group serves clients across North Carolina, Virginia, and South Carolina, with repeat clients including major hospital systems, universities, and government agencies. Dewberry is a leading professional services firm with more than 60 locations and 2,500 professionals nationwide.

Responsibilities
- Provide technical assistance and mentor structural engineering design staff on projects.
- Work with the design team across multiple offices and disciplines to generate detailed design documents for construction plans.
- Develop and maintain high-value client relationships.
- Meet client deadlines and project budgets.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
- 5+ years of structural engineering experience.
- Professional Engineering (PE) License in North Carolina, Virginia, or Florida, or ability to obtain through reciprocity within one year of start date.
- Familiarity with Revit and/or AutoCAD is preferred.
- A successful track record of managing projects, including scope, schedule, and budget.
- Experience coordinating engineering work and interfacing with other disciplines and clients.
- Experience using structural software such as RAM, RAM Elements, STAAD, Enercalc, TEDDS, or Tekla is preferred.
- Solid verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office software.
- Ability to work and thrive in a team environment.
