Structural Engineer

About the role

Assist in the planning, design, and production of bridge and civil engineering drawings, calculations, and technical reports.

Support project teams with data collection, analysis, and preparation of design documents, cost estimates, and specifications.

Participate in field observations and construction support activities, including shop drawing reviews, progress documentation, and quality control tasks.

Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to evaluate design alternatives, develop innovative solutions, and ensure compliance with applicable codes and standards.

Responsibilities

Requirements

• EDUCATION: Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering from an ABET-accredited university.
• EXPERIENCE: 0–2 years of professional experience in structural or civil engineering (internship or co-op experience preferred).
• SPECIAL SKILLS:
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
• Familiarity with AutoCAD or MicroStation (preferred).
• Strong problem-solving and teamwork abilities.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Ability to perform engineering calculations and support preparation of technical reports.

Qualifications

• PROFESSIONAL REGISTRATIONS: Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification required.

Pay

Expected compensation range is between $65,000 - $85,000 annually depending on skills, experience, and geographical location.
