About the role

A Little About Us: ZAP is a full-service engineering, design, and construction management firm servicing the oil & gas, heavy industrial, mining, and manufacturing sectors. From our Lakewood, Colorado office, we execute projects across North America spanning from California to Florida and Canada down to Mexico. Our projects range in size from simple engineering studies or maintenance repairs to full-scale design of large facilities. ZAP operates at a fast pace while providing a team-centric approach to our work.

Responsibilities

• 3D Modeling
• Work with a structural engineer to understand the nature of the design.
• Prepare 3D models of the structural design using AutoCAD and Advanced Steel.
• Cook up 3D models to reflect the engineered/modeled design.
• Cook up 3D models to reflect the engineered/modeled design.
• Coordinate with all disciplines to create an accurate and complete model.
• Prepare final construction drawings to reflect the engineered/modeled design.
• Update drawings per engineer comments.
• Assist with other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Position Relevant Experience
• 7+ years of industrial design experience using AutoDesk products required.
• Associate’s Degree Or Equivalent Experience Preferred.
• In addition to the essential duties listed above, this role should have advanced communication skills, more experience with leadership and be an expert user of technology and software required to execute daily tasks.
• This position will be competent in required job skills and knowledge and have the ability to adapt to changes in the work environment.
