Responsibilities
- Design and generate expression constructs for viral proteins (e.g., envelope glycoproteins, capsid proteins, regulatory proteins).
- Develop and optimize expression systems (mammalian, insect, or stable cell lines).
- Purify proteins using chromatography methods (affinity, SEC, ion exchange).
- Perform binding and antigenicity assays (e.g., ELISA, BLI, SPR).
- Conduct biochemical and biophysical characterization (e.g., SEC-MALS, DLS).
- Prepare samples and optimize vitrification conditions for cryo-EM studies.
- Operate and/or coordinate use of cryo-EM instruments (e.g., Titan Krios, Glacios).
- Prepare technical reports, figures, and manuscripts.
Requirements
- PhD in Structural Biology or a related field.
- Microsoft Office.
- Technical experience needed to assist in studying the basic principles of plant and animal life.
- Technical support and troubleshooting of sophisticated equipment.
- At least 2 (two) years of experience.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD "public trust"; candidates must obtain approved adjudication of their public trust prior to onboarding with Guidehouse.
- Candidates with an active public trust or suitability are preferred.
Qualifications
- Previous experience supporting NIH is a plus.

- The annual salary range for this position is $85,000.00-$141,000.00.
