Structural & Architectural Welder / Fabricator / Installer

We are seeking an experienced and certified structural steel and architectural steel welder and installer. Qualifications Minimum 5 years welding experienceExperience with multiple welding element processesCertification in shielded metal arc welding, Flux Core Welding, fillet, groove, plug welds is a plusOperating and programming CNC plasma cutting machines is a plus.Ability to accurately read architectural, structural, and fabrication drawingsAccurate material preparation, layout, calculations and measurementsKnowledge of steel erection and field welding.Able to work with a variety of metals.Familiarity with various welding machines, shop and lift equipmentFamiliarity with the use of torches, punches, grinder, drills and other power toolsGood written and verbal communication skillsAbility to work independently and with othersAccountable, on time, and have exemplary work ethicMust be able to work at heights as requiredAbility to lift 50 lbs.Minimum High School Diploma or GEDClean DMV Position Responsibilities Provide accurate layout, assembly, and welding while utilizing knowledge of geometry and an understanding of various metal properties, weld shrinkage, and welding techniques.Responsible for all aspects of fabrication and installationFamiliarity with equipment to facilitate loading and unloading of steel materials on and off job sites.Commitment to taking care of company tools, equipment, and personal toolsAbility to work in all positions and in varying conditionsIdentify all safety risks and requirementsMust be a team-player and support all coworkersFamiliarity with general construction equipment, tools and componentsRegular travel to and from jobsites located throughout San Jose, the mid-peninsula, San Francisco, and Monterey.
