Stroke Coordinator (non-RN)

Responsibilities
- Coordinate and lead all activities associated with the Stroke Program.
- Actively participate in performance improvement data collection, activities, and functions to promote an integrated program in Stroke Programs, ensuring the provision of the highest quality of healthcare.
- Assist with the development and implementation of initiatives, policies and procedures, including staff education activities related to stroke care.
- Evaluate the Stroke Program through the use of data capture, follow-up, and trend analysis, and present findings to appropriate committees.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team on problem identification and resolution, cost containment issues, implementation of new services and systems/performance measures for both the Risk and Stroke Programs.
Qualifications
Education, Experience, Training:
- Bachelor’s degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Sciences, Public Health, Emergency Medical Services, Business Administration, or a related field.
- BLS required.
- Five years of clinical and/or management experience in a multidisciplinary healthcare setting, which includes a minimum of two years of inpatient experience preferred.
- After 6 months, knowledge in the care of stroke patients using the American Stroke Association Guidelines is required.
- Knowledgeable on current State Laws and Regulations as applicable to facility and Stroke program.
- Computer proficiency in Windows applications required (especially Word, Excel, PowerPoint); strong working knowledge in data management, data analysis, and quality improvement processes required.
- Proficiency in Computerized Physician Order Entry (CPOE) and core clinical systems required.

A reasonable compensation estimate for this role, which includes estimated wages, benefits, and other forms of compensation, is $22.00 to $31.86 on an annualized basis. The exact starting compensation to be offered will be determined at the time of selecting an applicant for hire, in which a wide range of factors will be considered, including but not limited to skillset, years of applicable experience, education, credentials, and licensure.
