Strength & Conditioning Coach
About the role
The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. Responsibilities
- Provide coaching and administrative assistance to the University of Oregon's women's basketball program and other assigned sports.
- Implement individualized conditioning, strength, speed, and flexibility programs for student-athletes.
- Continually learn and implement enhanced training methods in the field of physical preparation of elite athletes.
- Promote the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, adhering to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Big Ten Conference, and the NCAA.
Requirements
- A bachelor’s degree in sport and exercise science or related field, specializing in physical preparation of elite athletes.
- A current National Strength and Conditioning Association certification (CSCS) or SCCC.
- Proven experience in strategic planning, implementation, and monitoring of strength and conditioning to high-performance basketball athletes.
- Three (3) years of full-time experience as a strength and conditioning coach working at the collegiate or professional level.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to obtain UO Driver's Certification.
Qualifications
- A master’s degree in exercise science or related field.
- Experience working with sports performance technology to inform strength and conditioning program design.
- Experience as a strength and conditioning coach for a women's basketball team within a Division I, power-4 conference.
Skills
Excellent interpersonal and team skills. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.

The salary range for this position is TBD based on experience and qualifications.
Schedule
The schedule for this position is typically Monday through Friday, with occasional evening and weekend commitments as needed.
