About the role
The Strength and Conditioning Coach (SCC) is responsible for developing and implementing physical training programs designed to enhance athletic performance and physical fitness, with an emphasis on developing strength, conditioning, and injury prevention strategies.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute training programs to improve strength, endurance, and overall fitness of clients or athletes.
- Monitor and evaluate clients’ performance and progress, providing necessary adjustments to training plans.
- Educate clients on effective exercise techniques and safety protocols.
- Maintain clear and accurate records of training sessions and client progress.
- Direct individual or group training sessions.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field from an accredited college or university.
- Minimum of 3 years of relevant SCC experience (waivers possible for veterans, military spouses, or specific internship/assistant experience).
- Current NSCA CSCS or CSCCa SCCC certification.
- Current Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation certification.
- US Citizenship.
Preferred Requirements
- Knowledge—Strong understanding of strength and conditioning principles.
- Skill—Excellent communication and motivational skills to instruct and encourage clients.
- Ability—Ability to adapt training techniques to individual needs.
