StreetSafe Outreach Supervisor

- Salary Range: $68,000 – $75,000 annually
We are seeking a StreetSafe Outreach Supervisor to lead and support a team of Outreach Workers engaged in street outreach, crisis response, and case management. This role is ideal for a strong people-leader who is adaptable, community-focused, and committed to improving outcomes for young men in Bridgeport.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Provide daily supervision, coaching, and support to StreetSafe Outreach Workers
- Ensure fidelity to program models and trauma-informed practices
- Manage staff schedules, neighborhood walks, and on-call hospital response coverage
- Carry a small caseload (1–2 participants) as needed
- Respond to critical incidents and community crises
- Monitor documentation and data entry (Salesforce experience a plus)
- Collaborate with probation, corrections, law enforcement, and community partners
- Minimum Qualifications:
- 1–2 years of supervisory experience
- 1–2 years of case management or outreach experience
- Experience working with street-affiliated or justice-involved youth and families
- Knowledge of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) or similar approaches preferred
- Strong communication, leadership, and team-based skills
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and on-call shifts as needed

StreetSafe Outreach Worker

- Status: Full-Time, Non-Exempt
- Salary Range: $45,000 – $55,000 annually
The StreetSafe Outreach Worker plays a vital role in supporting young people and families impacted by violence, poverty, and systemic barriers in Bridgeport. This position combines community outreach, case coordination, and connection to critical public and private resources.
- Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and deliver community-based case management services with a trauma-informed lens
- Identify and refer clients to education, workforce training, housing, healthcare, and other social service programs
- Engage in regular community outreach and home visits to assess needs and build relationships
- Build and maintain a caseload of 10–12 high-risk youth, guiding them through stages of change
- Apply principles of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) in mentoring and behavioral coaching
- Track client progress and goals through data-informed decisions and case conferencing
- Maintain accurate, timely documentation in Salesforce CRM
- Participate in regular team meetings and trainings
- Respond to urgent community incidents and hospital calls while on a scheduled on-call rotation
- Minimum Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or GED required; associate’s degree or equivalent experience preferred
- 1–3 years experience in youth development, outreach, family support, or community advocacy
- Deep understanding of Bridgeport’s neighborhoods, community dynamics, and systemic challenges
- Familiarity with the justice system, violence prevention, and trauma-responsive approaches
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation required
- Proficient in computer skills, including CRM platforms and documentation systems
- Core Competencies:
- Ability to meet youth where they are and build transformative relationships
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Knowledge of Stages of Change, CBT techniques, and positive youth development models
- Skilled in de-escalation, mediation, and conflict resolution
- Ability to maintain confidentiality, consistency, and cultural humility
- High reliability, flexibility, and willingness to work non-traditional hours
