WORKING HOURS AND LOCATION

• Friday and Saturday evenings from 4:00pm-10:00pm
• Opportunity for additional hours
• Location: Shéiyi X_aat Hít Youth Shelter

Typical Responsibilities

• Participate in street outreach
• Making connections with youth who may be unhoused, runaways, or at risk of running away
• Providing transportation to the shelter, to a youth’s home, or to another safe location
• BUILDING CONNECTIONS WITH YOUTH IN THE COMMUNITY
• Engaging in recreational activities with youth
• Providing supplies to support youth in meeting their needs
• SUPPORTING YOUTH WITH COMMUNICATION
• Working alongside a Navigator or Advocate from Zach Gordon and Shéiyi X_aat Hít
• Providing services to youth in their homes
• Helping mediate conflict or engage youth and families in restorative conversations

Minimum Qualifications

• Education: Graduation from high school or the equivalent; AND Any combination of work experience or post-secondary education totaling six (6) months in any field.
• Substitute Two (2) courses from an accredited college in a human related field may substitute for experience.
• License: A valid driver's license at time of appointment and for continued employment.
• Other: Not less than 21 years of age at time of appointment.
• First Aid and CPR certification within 30 days of appointment.
