Key Responsibilities

• Verify all loan documentation and calculations to guarantee adherence to industry standards and company policies.
• Address and resolve any discrepancies or issues that may arise during the file application and till closing.
• Stay updated on industry regulations and changes to ensure compliance with state and federal guidelines.
• Ensure timely and accurate responses to our loan partners and willingness to get on the phone to resolve issues quickly.
• Perform a general evaluation of an application (financial documents, mortgage type, etc.).
• Gather all missing data from the loan officer (assets, debts, etc.).
• Verify information and references by contacting the right sources.
• Correct mistakes and investigate inconsistencies.
• Act as the point of contact between loan officers and underwriters.
• Conduct a final review of the file before closing.
• Understand loan guidelines and underwriting procedures.
• Knowledge of laws and best practices.
• Proficient in Encompass LOS - willing to train if you have used a prior LOS software.
• Outstanding communication and customer service skills.
• Well-organized and able to handle pressure.

Basic Qualifications

• Proven experience with problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Windows and Encompass (Encompass preferred).
