About the role

Verse Medical is building modern software infrastructure to replace fax‑and‑phone‑tag coordination in home‑based care. Backed by General Catalyst, SignalFire, and Sapphire Ventures (Series C), the company connects providers, payors, and patients to deliver hospital‑quality care wherever patients live. The team values transparency, rapid iteration, focused intensity, and deep empathy for customers.

Responsibilities

  • Drive cross‑functional coordination on high‑stakes, cross‑cutting initiatives (e.g., regulatory, compliance, audit‑driven work) to ensure alignment and follow‑through across teams.
  • Own end‑to‑end program management for complex, high‑visibility deployments, managing project plans and outcomes for major customer/partner implementations or initiatives requiring close partnership with Engineering, Product, and Design.
  • Build quantitative models and strategic analyses that underpin major company decisions, from resourcing to strategic finance questions.
  • Partner with Sales on go‑to‑market strategy and lead Verse’s side of RFPs and competitive procurement processes.
  • Incubate new functions from scratch—designing, building teams, processes, or capabilities for needs that do not yet exist, through to steady‑state operation.

Requirements

  • 4+ years of experience in banking, consulting, startup, or another rigorous environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to think from first principles and construct solutions from scratch.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with solid numerical instincts and modeling ability.
  • Experience or comfort with partnerships and sales activities, including vendor selection, negotiation, and managing partnership launches.
  • Bias for action and execution—turning insights into real‑world outcomes.
  • Comfort with “spike” work: flexing hours and effort to match real demand, surging during crunches and settling back to a sustainable pace.

Skills

While the requirements above capture the core expectations, successful candidates also bring:

  • First‑principles problem‑solving mindset.
  • Strong financial or operational modeling capabilities.
  • Ability to manage external relationships (customers, vendors, partners).
  • Execution‑oriented approach with a focus on delivering results.
  • Adaptability to fluctuating workloads and the ability to sustain intensity when needed.

Benefits

  • 100% employer‑paid health insurance premiums, plus access to high‑quality dental and vision plans for employees and dependents.
  • 401(k) plan available (company does not currently offer a match).
  • Opportunities for rapid career advancement at a fast‑growing, Series C startup.
  • Hybrid work model with requirement of 4 days per week in the San Francisco or New York office to foster collaboration.

Pay

$130,000 – $220,000 base salary (exact compensation and level determined through the interview process based on demonstrated experience and scope).

Schedule

Hybrid schedule: 4 days per week in the office (San Francisco or New York) with the remainder remote.
