About the role
Crimson Rise Strategy Consultants are dedicated to making a difference in students' lives by personalizing blueprints for academic, extracurricular, and personal development. They work directly with young students (typically grades 6-8, ages 11-14) and their parents to develop comprehensive plans over a period of one to three years leading up to high school.
Responsibilities
- Guide students in pre-college academic strategy, including course selection, developing healthy study habits, recognizing and building on strengths, and finding and maintaining an innate love of learning.
- Guide students in pre-college extracurricular strategy, including pinpointing and owning interests and dislikes, exploring new extracurriculars and hobbies, deepening established extracurriculars and hobbies, brainstorming personal projects, and planning summer activities.
- Guide students in personal development, including goal-setting, stress management, time management, reflection on priorities, interests, motivators, and strengths.
- Conduct additional developmental work, such as building tailored reading lists, improving vocabulary, exploring majors and careers, taking supplementary online classes, and helping students become happy, healthy, clear-minded thinkers.
- Meet with students at least once a month from the start of their program.
- Ensure adherence to established service protocols and provide timely responses to clients.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree from a top University; advanced degrees will be advantageous.
- Passion for coaching young adults and appreciation of global perspectives.
- Superior planning and organizational skills; experience in project management, event coordination, product management is a plus.
- Superior written and oral communication skills.
- Resilience when working independently under pressure.
- Experience in formal education, coaching, tutoring, and admissions consulting is preferred.
