About the role
Savant is seeking a Strategy and Operations Specialist to play a key operational role within the Chief Operating Officer function. This role helps translate strategic priorities into clear, consistent execution across the organization — creating leverage for senior leadership and helping ensure important initiatives keep moving forward.
Responsibilities
- Support Savant's Objectives and Key Results (OKR) Framework
- Help manage the firm's OKR process from goal-setting through tracking, reporting, and review.
- Facilitate planning and check-in processes across teams.
- Build and maintain reporting tools and dashboards.
- Identify risks, misalignment, and stalled progress before they become larger issues.
- Prepare Executive and Governance Materials
- Partner in the preparation of materials for executive leadership, Operating Committee, and board meetings.
- Cook up timelines, gather content, and ensure consistency across contributors.
- Synthesize information into clear, well-structured materials that tell a cohesive story.
- Carefully monitor enterprise-wide initiatives and track dependencies, risks, and progress.
- Maintain visibility into key strategic priorities.
- Support special projects and initiatives that help move the business forward.
- Turn Data Into Insight
- Pull and synthesize data from multiple sources.
- Identify trends, risks, and opportunities.
- Communicate findings in a way that supports informed decision-making.
- Support Leadership Operations
- Partner with senior leaders and their teams to gather updates, coordinate timelines, and drive follow-through.
- Prepare agendas, capture meeting notes, and track action items.
- Help ensure commitments made in leadership forums translate into action.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Project Management, Communications, or a related field
- 2 to 4 years of experience in operations, project coordination, business support, or a related environment
- Experience supporting the preparation of executive, board, or governance materials
- Strong organizational skills with a proven ability to manage multiple workstreams simultaneously without losing the details
- Comfortable working with data
- Can pull a report, spot a trend, and communicate what it means in plain language
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident engaging with senior leaders
- A high attention to detail and a bias toward follow through
- Discreet and professional; can handle sensitive information with appropriate judgment
- A self-starter who asks good questions, figures things out, and gets things done
- A “no job too small” mindset; equally comfortable supporting a board pack and booking a conference room, and never makes others feel the difference
- Prior exposure to executive, board, or governance material preparation
- Experience working with data and reporting tools
- Able to pull, organize, and communicate findings clearly
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
