Role Summary
The Strategy Analyst supports the Chief Strategy Officer in shaping and executing Stallion’s growth strategy. Sitting at the center of strategic decision-making, this role turns data into insight—on asset performance, pricing, markets, and competitors—and uses modern AI tools to work faster and sharper. It is a high-impact, individual-contributor role for an analytical, curious self-starter who wants to influence where the company goes next.
Key Responsibilities
- Analyze asset utilization, performance, and returns (e.g., ROCA, dollar and time utilization) across the fleet to identify opportunities to improve profitability.
- Track asset data across the lifecycle—deployment, utilization, condition, and redeployment—to support asset visibility and capital decisions.
- Lead pricing and profitability analysis, monitoring utilization, demand shifts, and market dynamics to surface pricing opportunities.
- Support maintenance of standard pricing and the company price book within system tools (e.g., RentalMan), ensuring pricing data integrity and governance.
- Build dashboards and reports on asset utilization and pricing effectiveness to support leadership decision-making.
- Research the markets and industries Stallion operates in and evaluate new markets for expansion and growth.
- Conduct competitive analysis and help articulate Stallion’s competitive advantage and positioning.
- Support business cases and presentations for senior leadership and the Board.
- Gather, clean, and analyze data from across the business (e.g., Oracle, Salesforce, RentalMan, PowerBI) to support strategic decisions.
- Use AI tools (e.g., Claude, Microsoft Copilot) to accelerate research, analysis, and synthesis.
- Translate complex data into clear, actionable insights and recommendations.
- Partner with Finance, Sales, Operations, and Pricing to gather data and align on business needs.
- Work with operational teams across the organization on improving asset utilization, performance, and returns.
- Communicate insights, risks, and recommendations clearly to stakeholders.
Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, Data Analytics, or a related field.
- 2–4 years of relevant experience in strategy, corporate finance, consulting, data analytics, or a related area.
Skills & Attributes
- AI fluency: comfortable using AI tools such as Claude and Microsoft Copilot to accelerate analysis and research.
- Strong analytical and quantitative skills, with sharp attention to detail and data accuracy.
- Advanced Microsoft Excel and financial modeling; strong PowerPoint and Word.
- Familiarity with data visualization and reporting tools (e.g., PowerBI); familiarity with ERP systems (e.g., Oracle) a plus.
- Excellent communication and the ability to translate data into a clear story.
- Proactive, ownership mindset—able to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Curiosity and eagerness to learn, including new analytical and AI capabilities.
Travel
Up to ~15% as needed to support strategic projects and collaborate with field and operational teams.
