About the role

The Strategic Sourcing Manager works with stakeholders to address all aspects of procurement management for semiconductors, including pricing, procurement support, supplier management, supply-base strategy, and market trends assessment.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement strategies to achieve organizational objectives, managing strategic projects and timelines efficiently.
• Coordinate with other departments, stakeholders, and external partners to facilitate projects, drive initiatives, and resolve issues.
• Create, lead, and implement global commodity strategies in collaboration with business stakeholders (engineering, quality, finance, planning, materials, and operations). Facilitate commodity communications, including commodity councils, strategies, market, and landscape updates.
• Lead contract and price negotiations, competitive analysis, and should-cost studies to reduce total cost of ownership and increase supplier value.
• Identify, analyze, and address challenges and obstacles, often involving complex or highly technical issues.
• Set up “should cost” studies and lead negotiations with suppliers to achieve yearly cost reductions.
• Establish, implement, and administer systems and processes to evaluate, monitor, report, and manage supplier performance and improvement (including QBRs).
• Monitor commodity market trends and effectively reflect market dynamics in terms of supply and cost.
• Identify potential sources or suppliers in a business-driven manner.
• Identify, develop, and manage relationships with existing and potential suppliers to meet established cost, quality, and delivery targets.
• Collaborate with NPI, Engineering, Quality, and Operations to effectively manage NPI procurement-related activities.

Requirements

• BS in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
• At least 10+ years of experience in sourcing, procurement, and/or supply chain of semiconductors, including DRAM.
• Experience in supplier management, contract management, and strategic sourcing processes.

Skills

• Knowledge of procurement best practices and sourcing methodologies.
• Memory Technology Expertise: Deep understanding of DRAM types (DDR4, DDR5, LPDDR5/5X, HBM), speeds, density, and die shrinks.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Working knowledge of SAP Ariba is a plus.
• Willingness and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing and high-growth environment.
• Ability to manage multiple sourcing projects simultaneously and meet deadlines.
• Experience working in a global/matrix organization.

Pay

The salary range for this role is what we believe to be the range of possible compensation at the time of posting and is applicable for jobs to be performed in California, Colorado, New York, or remote jobs that can be performed in these states.
