Strategic Sourcing Manager
Responsibilities
- Execute project-specific sourcing strategies aligned with objectives defined by Global Category Management.
- Lead strategic sourcing activities, including supplier identification, evaluation, and onboarding.
- Manage eRFX processes (Requests for Proposal and Quotations) using e-sourcing tools such as Scout and document activities within procurement systems like Ariba.
- Drive value through sourcing initiatives while ensuring compliance with relevant procurement policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate closely with capital project teams to ensure timely execution of sourcing activities, bid analysis, contractor selection, and contract execution.
- Serve as the contracting lead for negotiations, contract drafting, execution, and ongoing contract management activities.
- Partner with Legal, Finance, Tax, and Insurance teams to ensure proper review and approval of contract documents.
- Manage commercial relationships as the primary liaison between project teams and suppliers.
- Support supplier performance improvement programs and maintain active supplier engagement.
- Maintain contract compliance and ensure procurement metrics meet or exceed expectations.
- Provide guidance and training to stakeholders on sourcing processes, contract provisions, and procurement tools.
- Assist in resolving contractor disputes, claims, and change order requests in collaboration with project and controls teams.
- Support delivery and validation of cost savings initiatives and sourcing performance metrics.
- Identify process improvements and implement new procedures to enhance sourcing effectiveness and efficiency.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree, or Master’s degree with at least 2 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor’s degree with at least 4 years of relevant experience, or Associate’s degree with at least 10 years of relevant experience, or High school diploma/GED with at least 12 years of relevant experience.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in strategic sourcing, capital procurement, operations, manufacturing, or project management.
- Demonstrated experience supporting capital projects across multiple categories, including construction and equipment procurement.
- Proven experience managing sourcing, tendering, supplier negotiations, and contracting processes.
- Experience working in complex, matrixed organizations with cross-functional and global teams.
- Experience using e-sourcing tools such as Ariba and Scout for procurement and contract management activities.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously within a fast-paced environment.
- Strong contract negotiation and commercial management capabilities.
- Deep understanding of procurement processes, including strategic sourcing and supplier management.
- Knowledge of capital construction categories and procurement practices.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Excel and PowerPoint.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret complex data and situations.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to build effective stakeholder relationships.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision while maintaining high-quality deliverables.
- Strong organizational and project management skills, including planning, prioritization, and execution.
- Fluency in business English (written and verbal).

Pay
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $58.00 - $60.00 /hr.
Non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law.
Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
