Strategic Sourcing Manager- #26-17202

About the role

This role offers an opportunity to work closely with various business functions and construction and equipment spend categories within a leading Biotech company. You will play a critical part in enabling project delivery through the evaluation and onboarding of new strategic suppliers, as well as leading new and renewal Master Services Agreement (MSA) negotiations across key construction and capital equipment categories.

Responsibilities

• Work with a portfolio of capital projects valued between $1 to $20 million.
• Support a variety of spend sub-categories including Architectural and Engineering services, Construction Management services, Automation Integration services, Commissioning, Quality and Validation services, and General Construction Contractor and individual Construction Trade Services.
• Assist in sourcing Capital Equipment and construction materials for the Operations organization.
• Execute sourcing (eRFX) for the Capital Construction and Capital Equipment Global Category Management (GCM) Teams.
• Ensure sourcing tactics drive value in specific functional business environments, including legal & regulatory context.
• Implement supplier improvement programs through active supplier relationships.
• Provide support to the Capital Project Teams to ensure timely execution of eRFX, bid analysis, and contractor selection, final approval, and execution of contracts.
• Manage commercial relationships as liaison between Project Teams and suppliers.
• Develop and maintain Project Sourcing Plans with Project Managers throughout the project lifecycle.
• Lead supplier selection processes, whether competitively bid or single sourced.
• Collaborate with Legal, Insurance, Tax, and other stakeholders to draft and ensure timely reviews and execution of all Contract documents using Ariba CW.
• Support ongoing contract management (including renewals and renegotiations).
• Resolve valid contractor disputes, claims, and/or change orders.

Requirements

• Doctorate degree OR Master’s degree and 2 years of experience
• Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of experience
• Associate’s degree and 8 years of experience
• High school diploma / GED and 10 years of experience
