The Role

The DTNA Procurement and Supply Chain department is a fast-paced, high-energy team responsible for strategic sourcing decisions and supporting the optimization of supplier performance based on cost, quality, and delivery. As a truly global organization, the Daimler Trucks Procurement and Supply Chain department offers exciting opportunities to work and grow in diverse, multi-regional, and international teams using negotiation, entrepreneurial, technical, and analytical skills. Within Procurement and Supply Chain, DTNA has an Aftermarket and Specialty Vehicles Purchasing team spanning across North America. In this position, you will play a crucial role in supporting the growth and revenue objectives of the Aftermarket Organization, contributing to the overall success of the business.

Pay & Benefits

  • Starting salary range: $65,000 - $83,000 USD Pay Offered Dependent On Knowledge, Skills, And Experience

What You Drive

  • Assist in the development and implementation of commodity strategies to optimize efficiency and reduce costs.

  • Maintain close alignment with Sr. Purchasing Agents

  • Manage suppliers to contracted terms and resolve any discrepancies for pricing agreements and terms

  • Prepare analytical support for supplier requests and collaborate with the purchasing agent to define next steps

  • Act as the Raw Materials subject matter expert for the team, validating and implementing contract updates in alignment with agreed-upon material indices

  • Support team with requisition and RFx processing to achieve and maintain target KPI’s

  • Aid in product launch coordination to maintain desired implementation timeline

  • Support and monitor results reporting through global business systems

  • Contribute to the professionalization of the organization by implementing best practices in procurement, supplier relationship management, and cross-functional collaboration

  • Collaborate with team members to enhance overall procurement processes and efficiency

  • Aid in preparation of presentations for senior leadership

Knowledge You Should Bring

  • BS/BSE level degree in business, supply and logistics, finance, economics, engineering, materials science or related technical discipline

  • 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred

  • Ability to analyze, organize and summarize large amounts of data into simple or key terms

  • Ability to work within tight timeframes and meet strict deadlines

  • Ability to develop strategic analytics and communicate the analysis

  • Ability to take charge and lead tasks to completion

  • Excellent problem-solving skills

  • Ability to evaluate and select suppliers using analytical tools

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills and ability to create strong working relationships

  • Must be flexible to work extended hours to support the requirements of the business

  • Proficient with all applications within Microsoft Office

  • Fluent in English both written and verbal
