Procurement Overview
Inside the Role Procurement is one of the most international departments at Detroit Diesel Corporation (DDC). As a member of the department of Daimler Truck global purchasing team you will gain valuable experience and knowledge cross-functionally. There are multiple advancement and travel opportunities within the department. Our employees receive annual training in professional negotiation tactics, as well as training courses on internal DDC functions. A position in procurement provides visibility to senior executive management within DDC and other companies. Pay & Benefits
Starting salary range: $65,000 – $83,000 USD Pay Offered Dependent On Knowledge, Skills, And Experience.

What You Drive
Establishes supplier relationship management processes and continuous improvement goals/programs
Negotiates contracts and coordinates supplier integration plans with internal clients
Maintains market dynamics that impact materials/services availability and/or pricing
Pairs with internal clients to identify sourcing needs, develop buyer/market profiles, identify marketplace trends, and define acceptable service levels
Knowledge You Should Bring
Bachelor's degree (completed or expected within the next 6 months) from an accredited university/college
0-2 years of relevant experience
Ability to proactively take charge and lead tasks to completion
Ability to evaluate and select suppliers using analytical tools
Exceptional Candidates Would bring 0-2 years of relevant experience preferred
Knowledge of procurement processes and tools OR knowledge of supplier landscape (regional and global), materials, and manufacturing technologies
Ability to communicate complex issues across groups and levels is preferred, including working within international teams
Experience with contracts, cost structures as well as business and economic issues
Supplier negotiation experience
