Responsibilities
- Primary responsible for strategic and tactical global sourcing ($10M+ spend)
- Supporting and co-leading procurement strategies for different commodities with the support of the supply chain materials manager
- Developing and maintaining supplier relationships and conducting annual supplier negotiations with top ten suppliers
- Ensuring purchased materials are supplied in a proper time and meeting delivery dates to minimize risk of stock-outs or revenue impact
- Monitoring supplier performance to ensure proper feedback and corrective actions are in place to improve quality and delivery
- Managing inventory levels to ensure adequate supplies of products are always available
- Leading and coordinating procurement assignments for new product development and engineering changes
- Managing capabilities of existing and future supply base to ensure they meet the needs of our business
- Driving and executing supplier savings projects (external and internal)
- Implementing and continuously improving standardization activities
- Supporting implementation of Global Commodity strategies
- Performing other duties as assigned
Qualifications
- Strong background in procurement and supply chain strategies
- Supply chain professional with 10+ years of experience in supply chain, production, and machine shop
- Extensive knowledge in supplier development strategies (globally and domestically preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of material flow best practices in a production environment, high mix and low volume
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to maintain good supplier and vendor relationships
- Expertise in problem-solving working with internal and external teams
- Experience leading and facilitating supplier negotiations and contract agreements
- Strong knowledge of machining castings, forgings, and welding
- Strong knowledge in Machining and Fabrication – Bronze alloy, aluminum, carbon steel, stainless steel
- Background in Operations/Supply Chain/Lean preferred
- Experience implementing ERP systems preferred
- Hands-on experience with Problem Solving / Lean Manufacturing preferred
- Project Planning / Project Management preferred
Education
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related technical area or equivalent work experience

Salary Range
$95,000.00 - $130,000.00 annually.
