Strategic Sales Engineer II, Spectrum Business

Responsibilities
- Assess clients' business and technical needs, providing strategic recommendations for Spectrum's fiber solutions
- Deliver technical and product presentations, network design consulting and formal proposal writing for national accounts
- Focus on Metro Ethernet, Internet, Wave, VOIP, PRI and Video solutions, collaborating with Network Engineering, Operations and Product teams to develop unique service offerings
- Develop technical responses and strategies for RFIs and RFPs as an integral account team member
- Serve as Subject Matter Expert for Spectrum Business Data services, supporting solution development and proof of concept designs internally
- Present solutions to large enterprise customers and executive leaders, ensuring alignment with client requirements
- Stay current with industry trends and best practices to inform solution design and customer recommendations
- Ensure compliance with all Spectrum policies and procedures
Requirements
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited organization (GED)
- Experience: 5+ years of sales engineering and networking experience in the telecom or service provider industry
- Skills: Read, write, speak and understand English; In-depth knowledge across technical disciplines, including Data and Voice communications, IP security, converging technologies, VoIP/SIP, IP-VPN, DWDM, MPLS/VPLS, Metro Ethernet and LAN/WAN integration; Proven success supporting and presenting to large enterprise customers and executive leadership
Qualifications
- CCDA or CCNA certification required
- CCNP certification preferred
- MEF-CECP 2.0 certification preferred

Benefits
A qualified applicant’s criminal history, if any, will be considered in a manner consistent with applicable laws, including local ordinances. The base pay for this position generally is between $83,200.00 and $163,300.00. The actual compensation offered will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience, and location. We comply with local wage minimums and also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of other incentive-based compensation such as bonuses. In addition, this position has a commission earnings target starting at $30,000.
