This is not a reorder-from-a-price-list job: pricing, availability and opportunities change every day. What You Will Do Track market pricing, product trends, promotions and supply and demandDecide when to buy, wait or pass on a deal and set stock quantitiesBuild a broad network of distributors, wholesalers and traders and negotiate pricing and termsOwn the financial outcome of each purchase, including sell-throughTest new brands and products in controlled quantities What You Bring Strong market instincts and a natural drive to find and negotiate dealsUnderstanding of margins, inventory turns, cash flow and riskOrganized, analytical and able to explain purchasing decisions clearlyA plus: product trading, closeout stock, retail arbitrage or e-commerce sourcing and resale As a Strategic Purchaser you buy like a trader and manage inventory like a business owner.
