Work with Supply Chain Analysts and planners to procure material in support of production requirementsCompile and issue Purchase Requisitions and Purchase Orders to suppliersConduct in depth data analysis to identify cost saving and cost avoidance opportunities utilizing material procurement strategiesUtilize knowledge of best purchasing practices as a government contractorDemonstrate rich knowledge of Supply Chain Management field and how it operates in a Manufacturing environmentExecute supplier negotiations in a coordinated effort with Purchasing and the planners.Compile and manipulate data in order to make informed business decisionsOther duties as assigned Requirements Education/Training: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline preferred Experience 5+ years of experience in material procurement in a manufacturing environmentAerospace and Defense background preferredKnowledge of best purchasing practices as a government contractorIn depth knowledge of Supply Chain Management field and how it operates in a Manufacturing environment Security Must be a US citizenAbility and to obtain a clearance may be required Physical Requirements Able to assess, install, and modify equipment, and inspect machineryAble to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, grasp and reach with hands and arms, handle and operate hand/power tools and machine controlsPerform frequent wrist, hand, and finger movementsProlonged periods of standing while operating machineryAdhere to all safety protocols, including wearing appropriate safety gear (e.g., eyewear, gloves, masks, hearing protection, etc.) for the assigned task Able to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds at a time Benefits Health Care Plan (Medical, Dental & Vision)Retirement Plan (401k, IRA)Life Insurance (Basic, Voluntary & AD&D)Paid Time Off (Vacation, Sick & Public Holidays)Short Term & Long Term DisabilityTraining & DevelopmentWellness Resources Salary The projected salary range for this position is $65,000 - 80,000. This is not a guarantee of compensation, rather actual salary will be based on experience, qualifications, and applicable certifications or degrees held. Offered salary may fall outside of this range.
