Strategic Project Lead, J.D./Legal Expert

Remote full-time role focused on end-to-end execution of legal and law-related projects for top AI Lab customers.

Responsibilities

• Own projects end to end, from pipeline framing and scoping through execution and delivery.
• Translate customer needs into clear, actionable project specifications for Legal workflows.
• Design and continuously improve domain-specific pipelines for usability, accuracy, quality, and scalability.
• Align Operations and Legal domain experts for rapid deployment.
• Set delivery milestones and drive a tight execution cadence.
• Own client communication, keeping it clear, direct, and consistent.
• Manage Legal domain experts and project leads to ensure quality and delivery.
• Provide daily internal updates with progress, blockers, and explicit next steps.

Requirements

• JD (Juris Doctor) or equivalent law degree required.
• 2+ years of professional experience in legal practice, legal research, regulatory/compliance, or a related field.
• Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, particularly when working with attorneys and senior Legal experts.
• Strong ownership, urgency, and attention to detail.
• Startup and entrepreneurial mindset with a bias toward execution.
• 2+ years of experience leading complex projects, operational workflows, or legal-related initiatives.
• Ability to turn ambiguous customer requirements into clear plans and execute rapidly.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-intensity environment.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with AI/ML companies, AI Labs, or data annotation/evaluation projects.
• Experience managing legal, technical, or data-intensive projects.
• Familiarity with legal research, contract analysis, litigation, regulatory/compliance work, or other complex Legal workflows.
• Familiarity with data pipelines, AI training workflows, and human-in-the-loop operations.

Pay

Base salary range of $180,000 – $230,000 USD. Eligible for equity compensation and performance-based bonuses.
