About the role

Turing is seeking a Strategic Project Lead to drive high-stakes data delivery for the world’s leading frontier AI labs. This high-impact role reports directly to the President, focusing on scaling critical AI training infrastructure.

Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end delivery of strategic data projects, from initial customer kickoff to final quality-assured data pipelines, ensuring perfect alignment with researcher specifications and timelines.
  • Orchestrate and performance-manage distributed teams of 100 to 1,000+ domain expert contributors, designing incentive systems and daily war room syncs to hit high-throughput production targets.
  • Build and maintain long-term trust with frontier AI lab researchers, acting as the primary face of Turing while identifying expansion opportunities for multi-year strategic partnerships.

Requirements

  • Proven background in consulting, finance, or high-growth startups with a track record of managing complex, operationally intense projects and multi-stakeholder relationships under significant pressure.
  • Exceptional analytical and communication skills, capable of diagnosing production bottlenecks in real-time, building measurement plans, and presenting technical solutions to demanding, high-profile clients in plain language.
  • Experience managing large-scale teams or distributed contributor pools, with a genuine passion for gritty process optimization, quality control frameworks, and codifying scalable operational playbooks for others.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 7 years of relevant experience in data operations, project management, or similar roles.
  • Strong understanding of data science principles and methodologies.
  • Experience with managing and optimizing large-scale data pipelines and workflows.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with external partners.

Skills

  • Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize tasks effectively.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, or Waterfall.
