Strategic Programs Lead, Strategic Customer & Partner Marketing
About the role
We are seeking a highly motivated and Strategic Programs Leader – for the VP, Strategic Customer and Partner Marketing to serve as a trusted partner to senior leadership. This role combines strategic program leadership, executive-level stakeholder management, and organizational influence to ensure the VP's highest priorities are executed with precision and impact. This role is responsible for driving organizational priorities, enabling leadership effectiveness, and ensuring cross-functional alignment across the business. The successful candidate will operate as a trusted extension of the VP: translating executive vision into actionable strategies, managing complex cross-functional initiatives, and ensuring alignment across customer marketing, partner marketing, executive marketing, ABM and broader AWS stakeholders. This role requires exceptional judgment, high emotional intelligence, and the ability to deliver results at all levels without direct authority. The ideal candidate is a proactive problem-solver with exceptional communication skills, strong business acumen, and the ability to operate with discretion and sound judgment in a fast-paced environment.
Key job responsibilities
- Strategic Support & Planning: Partner with the executive leader to define, communicate, and execute on organizational priorities and long-term strategy. Prepare and manage executive briefings and strategic presentations for internal engagements as well as external. Track progress against key business goals and surface risks or opportunities to leadership.
- Operations & Execution: Oversee day-to-day business operations and ensure efficient execution of cross-functional initiatives. Identify operational gaps and implement scalable processes and frameworks to improve team effectiveness. Manage the executive's time and priorities, including agenda-setting for leadership meetings and offsites.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Act as a liaison between the executive and internal stakeholders, ensuring clear communication and alignment. Lead or support high-priority, cross-functional projects from inception to completion. Facilitate decision-making by synthesizing complex information and presenting clear recommendations.
- Communication & Stakeholder Management: Draft internal communications, memos, and announcements on behalf of the executive. Build and maintain strong relationships with key internal and external stakeholders. Represent the executive in meetings and working groups as needed.
- Team & Culture: Champion a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement. Support talent development, team engagement, and organizational health initiatives. Onboard and integrate new team members into the organization.

Basic Qualifications
- 9+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation, macros, charts and pivot tables)
- Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working cross-functionally with partner teams to drive adoption and usage of brand assets and messaging
- Experience in strategic marketing management and market analysis and demonstrated ability to build and execute a strategy with clear goals and objectives to align to business and service objectives, and support portfolio objectives
- Experience that includes strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and effective communication abilities, or experience working with customers with a passion for delivering exceptional service
Pay
- USA, CA, San Francisco: $156,100.00 - $211,200.00 USD annually
- USA, WA, Seattle: $142,000.00 - $192,000.00 USD annually
