Are you ready to put your Plans and Policy expertise to work on complex projects in support of an exciting mission focused on the Indo-Pacific region? The ideal candidate will be a self-starter able to work across multiple staff sections to self-task and guide J5 activities to combat drug-related transnational crime. What You'll Be Doing Conduct in-depth research and analysis to develop recommendations in support of theater strategy, campaign and contingency planning, force allocation, and irregular warfare/unconventional warfare (IW/UW) planning aligned to PACOM strategic guidance and operational requirementsPlan, coordinate, and synchronize strategic operations, activities, and investments (OAIs) across the PACOM AOR; convert command guidance and dynamic requirements into deliberate staff productsAssist operational planning teams, working groups, and integrated planning efforts across the task force; work closely with J2/J3 cross-functional teams to support U.S. law enforcement agencies and interagency partnersCapture lessons learned, analyze deficiencies and connect findings to learning events to improve operational outcomes, etc.Support development of planning workflows and dashboard capabilities, including AI-enabled workflow toolsPrepare agendas and read-aheads to support planning events, capture decisions, and assign and track actions as requiredPrepare and deliver briefings to leadership, operational customers, and partner organizations as required What Required Skills You'll Bring Active DoD Top Secret security clearance with SCI eligibilityBachelors degree, with additional years of experience able to count in lieu of a degree10+ years of experience, with additional education, training, and certifications able to count towards total years of experienceDemonstrated experience utilizing the Joint Planning Process (JPP) and/or Military Decision-Making Process (MDMP) to support government decision-making at the strategic levelAbility to work independently while responding promptly to requests for informationAdaptability in a dynamic work environment; ability to manage changing priorities effectivelyExcellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to proofread, edit, and finalize products for senior leader briefings and external organizationsHighly proficient in SharePoint, Microsoft Office tools, and data-sharing tools and databases (e.g Command and Control of the Information Environment (C2IE) and Maven Smart System (MSS)Valid US Passport What Desired Skills You Might Bring Experience supporting USPACOM intelligence or operationsPrevious experience supporting DoD, counter-drug, and law enforcement missionsFamiliarity with Joint doctrine, campaign planning guidance, and interagency coordination processes Security Clearance Requirement An active Top Secret security clearance is required to apply, however, the selected candidate must be able to obtain a Top Secret SCI clearance prior to the start date.
