Strategic Partnerships - Credit and Lending
We're seeking a Partnerships Leader to drive new market partnerships and scale use cases for Plaid's lending & credit lifecycle solutions. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of experience in business development, strategic partnerships, or strategic sales, with a proven track record in closing and growing large partner relationships.
About the role
This role focuses on unlocking new markets and scaling new use cases for Plaid's Credit Team, which builds the future of lending by making cash flow data as accessible as traditional credit data.
Responsibilities
Market Strategy: Assess new target markets in the credit/lending industry and identify high-priority partnership targets. Employ outbound, marketing, and sales strategies alongside product and marketing counterparts.
Deal Execution: Own the entire partner deal cycle, including strategy, prospecting, discovery, alignment, negotiation, and execution. Work closely with cross-functional teams such as product, implementation, commercial, and legal.
Partner Growth: Elevate partner relationships through key milestones, such as completed integrations and scaling. Collaborate with teams to enable continued growth.
Qualifications
10+ years of overall work experience, with 8+ years in business development, strategic partnerships, product partnerships, or strategic sales in a high-growth environment.
Experience in the credit/lending industry and enthusiasm for driving innovation in financial services.
Proven ability to close and grow large partner relationships ($1M+ ARR).
Strong communication and internal relationship-building skills, capable of collaborating cross-functionally on complex topics.
Strategic mindset to build a holistic partner program in addition to individual partner relationships.

Pay is based on factors such as scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience and skillset, and location. Compensation range: $176.4K - $220.8K.
