About the role

Koniag Services Inc., a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking an experienced Strategic Lead to join its team in Nashville, TN. The ideal candidate is a dynamic, forward‑thinking professional with a proven track record of driving organizational growth, fostering strategic partnerships, and delivering results in a fast‑paced environment. The role requires strong leadership, exceptional analytical skills, and the ability to translate high‑level strategy into actionable plans, including obtaining a Public Trust Clearance to support government customers. The position is on‑site in Nashville, TN.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the development, implementation, and monitoring of strategic initiatives and long‑term organizational plans.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to define strategic priorities, goals, and key performance indicators (KPIs).
  • Conduct in‑depth market research, competitive analysis, and environmental scanning to identify trends and opportunities relevant to the organization.
  • Serve as a primary point of contact for key stakeholders, managing relationships and ensuring consistent communication across all levels of the organization.
  • Facilitate strategic planning sessions, workshops, and briefings with internal teams and external partners.
  • Develop and present detailed reports, briefings, and recommendations to senior leadership and government customers.
  • Monitor the progress of strategic initiatives, identifying risks and developing mitigation strategies to ensure successful delivery.
  • Align cross‑functional teams around shared strategic goals and ensure accountability for outcomes.
  • Drive continuous improvement efforts by evaluating current processes and identifying areas for increased efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Support business development efforts by identifying new opportunities and contributing to proposal development and partnership strategies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Strategic Management, Public Administration, or a related field from an accredited college or university.
  • 7+ years of experience in strategic planning, management consulting, program management, or a related field.
  • Demonstrated experience leading strategic initiatives and driving organizational change.
  • Ability to obtain a Public Trust Clearance.

Qualifications

  • Preferred: Master's degree in Business Administration (MBA), Strategic Management, or a related field.
  • Experience working in or supporting a federal or state government environment.

Skills

  • Exceptional communication skills in English – both written and oral – and the ability to effectively communicate with technical and non‑technical stakeholders at all organizational levels.
  • Proven ability to develop, execute, and monitor strategic plans and initiatives.
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable recommendations.
  • Demonstrated ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and customers.
  • Experience facilitating meetings, workshops, and strategic planning sessions with diverse groups.
  • Proficiency in developing executive‑level briefings, reports, and presentations.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence and motivate cross‑functional teams without direct authority.
  • Familiarity with project management principles and methodologies.
  • Ability to obtain public trust clearance.
  • Desired: Experience working in a federal or state government IT or professional services environment.
  • Desired: Knowledge of business development processes, including capture management and proposal development.
  • Desired: Familiarity with Agile or other iterative project management methodologies.
  • Desired: Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent.
  • Desired: Experience with data visualization and strategic planning tools such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar platforms.
