About the role
The Strategic District Partner will manage an expansive K-5 reading intervention implementation in South Florida, working directly with the district's curriculum team to develop and support a comprehensive implementation plan.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with district leaders to develop comprehensive implementation plans including professional learning needs, timelines, and action plans to support the district’s strategic goals.
- Schedule and facilitate progress meetings at the cadence agreed upon by stakeholders and make appropriate changes to the implementation plan based on the outcome of these meetings.
- Proactively address issues or challenges that may present obstacles for achieving customer goals.
- Collaborate with Strategic Implementation Success Managers and school district leadership to accelerate time to value for customers in key accounts.
- Work collaboratively with the Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators, Success Managers, and Sales team to ensure the delivery of successful, engaging and effective learning experiences and maximize school district partner ROI.
- Provide presentations for high-level district leadership to support pre-sale opportunities and post-sale expansion in partnership with Sales.
- Deliver in-person and virtual professional learning, customer support and planning meetings, and data review sessions.
- Facilitate professional learning sessions for educators across the country who use VSL programs.
- Coordinate scheduling of pre-training meetings with assigned facilitators as needed.
- Develop and/or update training assets for virtual and in-person professional learning.
- Communicate to the VSL Manager of Professional Learning Facilitators and respective Sales partners any needs to customize training assets to meet the needs of the customer.
- Communicate district needs with assigned facilitators to align messaging and any specific details around the professional learning needs of the cohorts.
- Coordinate large training initiatives by participating in implementation planning meetings and conference calls, planning and executing logistics.
- Coordinate with Training Operations team regarding accuracy of purchased service/billable days by customer and scheduling and assigning resources to professional learning sessions.
- Craft stories based on case studies and implementation success.
- Review survey data and apply the feedback toward professional growth and training refinement.
- Stay abreast of the latest research in the area of delivery and share those with others within our organization.
- Utilize various types of technology and systems with proficiency to perform job requirements.
- Regularly communicate work status and issues related to supervisor.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in education required. Master’s degree preferred.
- At least 5 years teaching experience in K-12 education.
- At least 3 years of delivering professional learning sessions or coaching and consulting with teachers in applying best practices in classrooms with various populations of learners.
- Direct experience with VSL programs as a trainer, district leader, instructional coach, or classroom teacher.
- Effective presentation skills for in-person and virtual settings utilizing a variety of collaboration and engagements strategies with adult learners.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong interpersonal skills (communication, problem solving, collaboration, and sensibility to build rapport with customers and co-workers).
- Proficiency using technology-based productivity tools including Microsoft Office, Google and other web applications.
- Ability to travel via various modes of transportation. This can include evenings, occasional weekends, and driving after dark.
