We need to output HTML fragment with sections: About the role? Actually we need to use headings for sections like About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. Use

for each heading. Use
  • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. Use

for prose. Do NOT repeat job title as heading. Do NOT put Job ID/requisition numbers as headings. Remove boilerplate etc. Include sections only when posting has real specific content. Must preserve all substantive info. We need to parse the job description. Key parts: - Job Summary: description of role. - Essential Functions: list of duties. - MINIMUM REQUIRED Qualifications (education, Experience, Certifications, Licenses, Knowledge, Skills): includes bullet list? It's a paragraph with bullet-like lines. - Skills: list of skills. - Preferred Qualifications: list. - Compensation: includes pay range. - Position Type: Regular. - About Smith College: description. - Also mention "Take appropriate actions to support a diverse workforce..." maybe part of responsibilities? Could be under Responsibilities. We need sections: About the role (maybe corresponds to Job Summary?), Responsibilities (Essential Functions), Requirements (maybe Minimum Required Qualifications?), Qualifications (maybe Preferred Qualifications?), Skills (maybe separate), Benefits (maybe mention competitive benefits package), Pay (compensation range), Schedule (maybe not given; we should not create if not specified). The posting mentions "Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications and work schedule if less than full-time." No explicit schedule. So we should not create Schedule section. Benefits: "In addition to a competitive benefits package" - that's a mention; we can include Benefits section with that statement. Pay: we have range. We need to avoid filler like "commensurate with experience". Not present. We need to output only HTML fragment. Let's structure:

    About the role

    Job Summary content.

    Responsibilities

    • list each essential function.
    • ...

      Requirements

      Minimum Required Qualifications paragraph.

      Qualifications

      Preferred Qualifications paragraph.

      Skills

      • list skills from Skills section.
      • ...

        Benefits

In addition to a competitive benefits package...

        Pay

annualized pay for this role is typically between $80,410.25 - $108,790.34 covering the middle half of market compensation. Actual compensation will vary based on individual qualifications and work schedule if less than full-time.

We should not include Schedule. We need to ensure we preserve all substantive info: also mention "Position Type Regular". Could be included maybe in About the role or a separate section? Not required headings; we could embed in About the role paragraph. Also mention "Please attach BOTH a current resume and a cover letter..." that's application instruction; we need to remove application instructions per instruction: "Remove cookie/navigation/legal/EEO/equal-opportunity/scam-warning boilerplate, duplicated lines, and application instructions." So we should remove that line. Also remove "Review of applications will begin October 22, 2026" (application instruction). Remove. Remove "About Smith College" maybe we could include as part of About the role? Actually About Smith College is separate description of employer; could be included in About the role? The instruction says use headings for section headings (e.g. About the role, Responsibilities...). So we could have About the role includes job summary and maybe About Smith College? But we could also add a separate section "About Smith College" but not in the list of allowed headings. The allowed headings list includes About the role, Responsibilities, Requirements, Qualifications, Skills, Benefits, Pay, Schedule. So we should not add other headings. So we incorporate Smith College description into About the role paragraph. Thus About the role paragraph will contain both Job Summary and About Smith College. Now we need to extract the essential functions list: Essential Functions bullet points: - Serve as the primary communications writer for the President, developing speeches, remarks, correspondence, talking points, opinion pieces, and other executive communications. - Translate complex institutional priorities, policies, and strategic initiatives into clear, compelling communications for diverse audiences. - Ensure consistency and authenticity of the President's voice across all communications and public appearances. - Conduct research, interviews, and background preparation to ensure executive communications are accurate, nuanced, and well-informed. - Work with the presidential speech and writing calendar, coordinating research, review, revisions, approvals, and logistics while maintaining strict confidentiality. - Work closely with the Senior Director of Media Relations and Strategic Communications to ensure alignment between presidential communications, institutional messaging, and media strategy. - Collaborate with Communications and Marketing colleagues and campus partners to identify opportunities to elevate the President's thought leadership and strengthen Smith's public profile. - Advise the President and senior leaders on messaging strategy, framing, and communications approaches for significant institutional issues and initiatives. - Develop messaging frameworks and key messages that support institutional priorities and can be adapted across multiple communications channels. - Prepare the President for speeches, interviews, meetings, panels, and media opportunities through briefing materials and talking points. - Monitor higher education, public policy, and current events to identify emerging issues and opportunities that may affect presidential communications. - Maintain an archive of presidential speeches and messaging resources to support consistency and institutional memory. - Evaluate the effectiveness of executive communications and recommend improvements based on audience feedback and institutional priorities. - Perform other duties as assigned. We'll put each as
      • . Now Minimum Required Qualifications paragraph: "Bachelor's Degree in Communications, Journalism, English, Political Science, Public Policy or a related field 8 years of experience in executive communications, journalism, public affairs or a related field Demonstrated experience writing for senior executives or organizational leaders. Demonstrated ability to manage multiple complex projects with competing deadlines." We can keep as a paragraph with line breaks? Probably better as
        • but the instruction says use
          • for any list of duties/requirements/benefits. This is a list of requirements, so we should use
            • . However the heading "Requirements" we decided to use for Minimum Required Qualifications. So we can make a list. Similarly Preferred Qualifications list: - Experience in higher education, government, philanthropy, or another complex mission-driven organization. - Experience supporting presidents, CEOs, elected officials, or other highly visible leaders. - Familiarity with AP Style and higher education communications. - Experience developing communications around complex policy, governance, or institutional issues. - Strategic thinker with strong editorial judgment and intellectual curiosity who quickly masters unfamiliar subjects. - Ability to build trusted relationships with senior leaders and collaborate effectively across a decentralized organization. - Demonstrated ability to write with warmth, wit, and emotional intelligence when appropriate. We'll put under Qualifications heading as list. Skills list: - Exceptional writing, editing, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to synthesize complex ideas into compelling narratives while maintaining a consistent executive voice. - Strong political judgment, discretion, and ability to handle confidential information. - Exceptional interpersonal skills with the ability to build credibility and influence at all organizational levels. We'll put under Skills heading as list. Benefits: "In addition to a competitive benefits package" maybe also mention that it's part of compensation. We'll just put that sentence. Pay: as above. Now ensure we don't include any boilerplate like EEO etc. We removed. Now produce HTML fragment. Let's craft:
