Strategic Buyer

About the role

We seek a Strategic Buyer responsible for procurement, cost negotiation, and subcontract management of materials and services from approved suppliers to meet delivery and budget goals.

Responsibilities

• Partner with internal teams to understand needs, ensure compliance with procurement policies, and review requisitions.
• Lead RFQ processes, analyze supplier quotes, and implement cost‑saving negotiation strategies.
• Manage supplier communications, resolve issues related to quality, delivery, and costs, and ensure supplier agreement compliance.
• Execute purchase orders, maintain documentation, monitor deliveries, and support procurement operations and cross‑team initiatives.

Qualifications and Skills

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Finance, Supply Chain, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in supply chain management.
• Proficiency in additional languages is a plus.

Working Conditions

This role primarily operates in an office environment supporting aerospace programs, with 10–25% travel to supplier facilities. Overtime may be required during peak periods. Physical requirements include visiting manufacturing sites, handling equipment, and adhering to safety standards.
