Strategic Analytics Senior Associate, Acquisitions Risk
Job Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain periodic analytics to provide management with full insight into emerging trends and the quality of the originated accounts
- Achieve a detailed understanding of key performance metrics and profitability drivers, enabling the delivery of insights encompassing the full account lifecycle
- Acquire an understanding of the operational processes (e.g. manual underwriting, portfolio management, collections) which will aid in understanding acquisition performance drivers
- Conduct complex analysis including data collection, analysis, visualization and presentation of results to partners and management in support of card acquisition strategies and new product/feature initiatives
- Support formulation of risk strategy and product roadmap, partnering with and influencing cross-functional teams
- Manage risk strategies to drive financial performance and risk mitigation improvements while innovating to ensure optimal strategy performance with a growth mindset
- Work closely with Risk Governance, Legal and Compliance to ensure policies comply with laws and regulations
- Conduct ad hoc analytics and contribute to various projects representing Risk Management
Required Qualifications, Capabilities, And/or Skills
- Bachelor's degree in a quantitative discipline from an accredited college/university required; Master's degree preferred
- Minimum 3 years of Risk Management or other quantitative experience
- Educational or professional background in statistics, econometrics, finance, or other quantitative field
- Highly skilled at SQL coding, Excel, PowerPoint, and Tableau
- Ability to query large amounts of data and transform the raw data into actionable management information
- Strong analytical, interpretive, and problem solving skills
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
