About the role
You will be part of a small but highly influential team responsible for analyzing the profitability of PIMCO's global business and helping inform key strategic decisions across the firm.
Responsibilities
- Manage overall process of updating and reporting product-level and distribution channel profitability analysis for senior stakeholders.
- Perform financial modelling and business analysis, including profitability, forecasting, and pro forma analysis.
- Manage updates to fund-level profitability model for annual 15c process and provide commentary and analysis on trends.
- Provide quarterly business update materials for managing director group.
- Proactively identify and execute deep-dive analyses of business performance, market developments, and industry trends.
- Identify key performance and forecast drivers and provide analytical insights that support data-driven decision-making by senior management.
- Build relationships with teams across the firm to research and resolve questions, and to further understand the business to improve modeling and analyses.
- Maintain, update, and continually improve upon sophisticated business and allocation models for monthly and quarterly reporting, ad hoc analyses, and forecasting.
- Identify and implement opportunities to enhance reporting, improve processes, and leverage automation.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Accounting, Business, or a related field.
- Advanced PC skills, particularly experience working with complex Microsoft Excel workbooks.
- Experience using Oracle Enterprise Performance Management Cloud (EPMCS), SmartView Excel Add-in, SAP, or other multidimensional database, reporting, consolidation, and ERP systems is a plus.
- Approx. 3–7 years of experience in FP&A, corporate finance, business analysis, strategic finance, or a related role.
- Strong interest in using data and financial analysis to identify trends and inform strategic decision-making.
- Experience in responding effectively to inquiries from various levels of management.
- Experience and ability to work well under pressure while managing multiple priorities and deadlines.
- Experience in the Asset Management industry is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills, including presentation, written, verbal, and listening skills.
- Able and willing to work collaboratively in a team environment as well as independently with minimal supervision.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Highly analytical, intellectually curious, and motivated to identify trends and generate actionable insights.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Proactive, resourceful, and motivated to take initiative and continuously seek opportunities to add value.
- Flexible and adaptable, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment and manage competing priorities effectively.

$87,000.00 - $130,000.00
