About the Role

We are seeking a Strategic Account Manager to develop, manage, and grow relationships in the aerospace and other sectors. This role aligns the company’s software solutions with customer objectives and promotes long-term revenue growth.

Responsibilities

  • Drive and execute strategic account development plans targeting aerospace technology markets and customers.
  • Expand existing customer relationships and develop new ones.
  • Strategically build customer relationships across technical, commercial, and management stakeholders.
  • Identify and assess customer potential through cold calling, cross-selling, customer events, and other methods.
  • Analyze customer technical processes and use cases to align with Vector solutions.
  • Conduct or facilitate contract negotiations to successful outcomes.
  • Work closely with the CSL Aerospace BDM and customer sales teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
  • Ensure smooth execution of product deliveries and high customer satisfaction.
  • Provide market and customer feedback to influence product or sales roadmaps.
  • Conduct and support assessments in the field of aerospace technology and other industries.
  • Perform technical evaluations to present solutions to customers in a customized manner.
  • Provide intelligence on competitor offerings, customer strategies, and market shifts.
  • Present the product portfolio to customers at trade shows and professional conferences.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Life Sciences) or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in aerospace software sales.
  • Strong technical understanding and affinity for software testing and embedded software.
  • Strong understanding of electronics and software solutions for aerospace applications.
  • Highly developed ability to build and manage sustainable, trust-based relationships with technical and non-technical stakeholders.

  • Excellent interpersonal, negotiation, presentation, and communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a cross-functional team.
  • Enjoy advising clients and skilled in negotiation situations.
  • Self-starter with a disciplined follow-up approach.
  • Ability to work effectively with local and global cross-functional teams.
  • Ability to travel 20 to 40% as needed.
