Ceribell is a medical technology company focused on transforming the diagnosis and management of patients with serious neurological conditions. The Ceribell System is a novel, point-of-care electroencephalography (“EEG”) platform designed to address unmet needs in the acute care setting, used in hundreds of community hospitals, large academic facilities, and major IDNs nationwide.
About the role
This field-based role must be located within the designated region; remote applicants will not be considered. The candidate will drive department expansions and new product launches within existing Ceribell customer accounts, targeting ED, ICU, Neonatal, and future indications. You will partner with a Clinical Account Manager (CAM) to validate champion interest, cultivate budgets, and execute training, launch, and post-launch activities. The position reports to the RVP of Account Management and requires approximately 70% travel. Ideal candidates will live near a major airport.
Responsibilities
- Expand use of Ceribell to additional departments and indications within the existing customer base.
- Collaborate with the local Clinical Account Manager to identify and develop expansion opportunities in new departments.
- Build advocacy and champions within hospital facilities.
- Use hospital data to validate and build interest in Ceribell solutions.
- Deliver formal presentations, peer-to-peer education, physician training, and drive physician education for expansion opportunities.
- Manage upgrades and departmental expansion within the existing install base.
- Apply strong project management skills to support new department launches.
- Educate and train physicians, hospital personnel, and office staff on the clinical merits and proper usage of Ceribell products.
- Become a clinical expert in Ceribell use cases and relevant patient populations.
- Troubleshoot workflow solutions for departments as needed.
- Partner with clinicians to identify and establish protocols for patients at risk of seizure.
- Lead clinical teams through training sessions to ensure understanding of workflow and applications.
- Submit required reports and training documentation on time.
- Use Salesforce.com to manage administrative tasks.
- Ensure compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and Ceribell policies.
- Work cross-functionally to ensure successful deployment of Ceribell products at customer locations.
- Collaborate within a field-based team and maintain a strong partnership with the Territory Manager of the respective region.
Requirements
- 7–10 years of recent critical care sales experience or 5 years of medical device or pharma sales experience combined with over 3 years of RN clinical experience.
- Experience working with multiple key stakeholders (physicians, management, administration) or hospital-wide committee membership.
- Excellent communication skills, relationship-building ability, and creative problem-solving.
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize strategically.
- Ability to assess and understand different stakeholders’ needs and wants.
- Skill in processing cross-functional agendas and adjusting strategy to achieve desired outcomes.
- Confidence and expertise to challenge the status quo and influence meaningful change through consensus building.
- Driven and coachable, with an innate desire to succeed and willingness to seek coaching and apply feedback.
- High integrity and grit.
Preferred Qualifications
- Startup experience or experience working with disruptive technology.
- Medical device experience, particularly in neuro ICU or related clinical settings.
Pay
Compensation range: $185,000–$325,000 USD. The final salary offer will be based on skills, education, work location, and experience. Compensation may also include bonuses consistent with Ceribell’s corporate compensation plan.
