Strategic Account Executive/ Account Manager
About the role
At Files.com, enterprise sales is about both landing new logos and keeping existing ones happy. This is a hybrid role that requires carrying a book of existing strategic accounts while simultaneously hunting new enterprise logos within a defined territory. The ideal candidate will be a full-cycle enterprise seller who can grow existing accounts and win new ones.
Responsibilities
The responsibilities of this role include expanding existing strategic accounts and winning new enterprise logos. Specific duties include:
- Expanding existing strategic accounts by owning the end-to-end commercial strategy, building multi-threaded relationships, and leading complex negotiations
- Winning new enterprise logos through strategic outbound prospecting, executive networking, and referrals
- Generating new-logo pipeline, identifying and engaging VP-level and above stakeholders, and running discovery with infrastructure depth
- Becoming a true Files.com expert, understanding the platform's architecture, security model, compliance capabilities, and integrations
- Forecasting and executing with discipline, building and maintaining a healthy pipeline, and consistently achieving or exceeding quota
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of both expanding complex enterprise accounts and self-sourcing net-new pipeline at the enterprise level ($5B+ accounts). They will be deeply fluent in enterprise IT infrastructure and able to hold a real conversation with a VP of IT Operations or a Director of Network Engineering.

- Technical credibility with executive presence and ability to operate across both levels in the same deal
- Comfort with long, complex sales cycles and ability to maintain momentum across multi-stakeholder organizations

Pay
The compensation for this role is $250,000 - $350,000 OTE, split 50/50 between salary and commissions (subject to qualifications and experience), plus equity and premium benefits.
Schedule
Austin-based candidates are preferred for proximity to leadership, but exceptional remote candidates will be considered. Remote employees will be expected to make monthly trips to Austin, TX. This role includes travel as needed to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
