Responsibilities

- Manage the Asset Protection department.
- Based in Portland, Oregon, Fred Meyer merged with The Kroger Company in 1998. Today, we serve over 120 stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho, and Alaska.
- Work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
- Handle sensitive information with confidentiality.
- Organize and prioritize tasks/projects.
- Make independent judgments with minimal supervision.
- Continue education.
- Pass a criminal background check.
- Pass a drug test.
- Implement corporate and divisional service, merchandising, and operating requirements.
- Conduct internal investigations.
- Verify electronic article surveillance (EAS) is being utilized and maintained.
- Participate in safety meetings.
- Prepare missing merchandise reports.
- Communicate and collaborate with corporate associates to support asset protection initiatives.
- Work with associates to manage common areas.
- Maintain compliance with corporate policies and safety guidelines.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED plus one year experience in retail asset protection or a combination of relevant education and experience.
- Minimum 18 years of age/21 in Alaska.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Ability to handle sensitive information while maintaining confidentiality.
- Familiarity with asset protection terms and processes.
- Ability to make independent judgments with minimal supervision.
- Ability to continue education.
- Ability to pass a criminal background check.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to pass all state and federal private security requirements for licensing or certification.
