Story Land - Food & Beverage Lead (Seasonal)

Roles & Responsibilities

• Supervise assigned F&B hosts and other departments
• Lead by example and represent core values
• Coach and mentor assigned hosts
• Knowledgeable of all F&B positions and able to backfill as needed
• Ensure compliance with New Hampshire labor laws regarding meal and break times
• Assist with scheduling, timekeeping, and training activities

Departmental Duties

• Welcome guests with a smile and positive attitude
• Perform opening and closing procedures including food preparation and cleanup
• Enforce proper food safety guidelines and maintain compliance with company and industry best practices
• Manage inventory, focus on portion and waste controls
• Interface with warehouse and maintenance for product and equipment needs
• Handle and resolve guest concerns with a positive attitude
• Oversee quality control and production of food items

Education And Experience

• No formal education required
• 1+ years of previous work experience in food service, quick service, or restaurant setting
• Previous supervisory experience a plus
• Previous amusement park, theme park, or waterpark experience a plus
• Must become Food Handler Safety Certified (ServSafe or similar) or obtain certification within 90 days of hire
• Ability to read, write, and speak fluent English
• Spanish or other bilingual language skills are a plus

Requirements

• At least 16 years of age to comply with New Hampshire Child Labor Laws
• Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
• Negative TB test results within the last 2 years
• Reliable transportation to and from shifts
• Compliant with all uniform policies
• Strong safety-oriented mindset and understanding of food preparation and serving regulations
• Exceptional customer service skills, able to resolve issues professionally
• Able to speak with guests directly when F&B leadership is not present
• Ability to handle high-pressure situations and coordinate multiple priorities
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities
• Previous experience with Point of Sale (POS) technology and PCI compliance a plus

Physical Requirements

• Standing, walking, and remaining on feet for majority of the workday
• Occasional stooping, twisting, kneeling, bending, squatting, or reaching above shoulders
• Withstand heat and humidity from food preparation equipment
• Carry, push, pull, lift, and hold objects weighing 30 pounds or more

Working Conditions

• Based in food stalls and/or restaurants throughout the park
• Frequent interruptions and requests requiring reprioritization of activities
• Frequent exposure to variable outside temperatures, including high heat, cold, direct sun, humidity, dust, rain, and other weather conditions
• Frequent repetitive motion, high noise levels, and heavily populated environments
