Story Coordinator (Project Based)

About the role

We are seeking a Story Coordinator to join our dynamic team at Inside Edition. This position offers a unique opportunity to contribute to the production and distribution of high-quality content.

Responsibilities

• Research and develop compelling story ideas for broadcast and digital platforms.
• Collaborate with producers and writers to ensure accurate and engaging storytelling.
• Manage story development from concept to final script, ensuring adherence to editorial guidelines.
• Work closely with the production team to ensure timely and quality delivery of stories.
• Stay updated on current events and trends to provide fresh and relevant content.

Requirements

• Prior reporting experience in television or print.
• Highly motivated self-starter with strong written and interpersonal communication skills.
• A passion for local and national news.
• Proficient in technology and social media.
• Able to travel and work nights/weekends as necessary.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
• Experience booking stories in television or media.
• A working knowledge of government, courts, law enforcement, and FOIA.

Skills

• Excellent research and writing skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration abilities.
