About the role
The Story Artist is responsible for developing compelling narratives and character arcs that drive the storytelling in animated projects. This role requires a deep understanding of storytelling techniques and the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual stories.
Responsibilities
- Create detailed storyboards and animatics to visualize scenes and sequences
- Collaborate with directors, writers, and other artists to refine story concepts
- Develop characters and their backstories to enhance emotional depth
- Write dialogue and narrative scripts that align with artistic vision and project goals
- Contribute to the overall creative direction of animated projects
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film, Literature, or related field
- Minimum 5 years of professional experience in animation, film, or related industries
- Proven track record of creating compelling and visually impactful stories
- Strong writing skills, including dialogue and narrative development
- Experience working on multiple projects from concept through completion
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Qualifications
- Proficiency in storyboarding and animatics software
- Understanding of animation principles and storytelling techniques
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Knowledge of industry-standard animation tools and platforms
