About the role

The Story Artist is responsible for developing compelling narratives and character arcs that drive the storytelling in animated projects. This role requires a deep understanding of storytelling techniques and the ability to translate complex ideas into engaging visual stories.

Responsibilities

• Create detailed storyboards and animatics to visualize scenes and sequences
• Collaborate with directors, writers, and other artists to refine story concepts
• Develop characters and their backstories to enhance emotional depth
• Write dialogue and narrative scripts that align with artistic vision and project goals
• Contribute to the overall creative direction of animated projects

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Animation, Film, Literature, or related field
• Minimum 5 years of professional experience in animation, film, or related industries
• Proven track record of creating compelling and visually impactful stories
• Strong writing skills, including dialogue and narrative development
• Experience working on multiple projects from concept through completion
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills

Qualifications

• Proficiency in storyboarding and animatics software
• Understanding of animation principles and storytelling techniques
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of industry-standard animation tools and platforms
