StorQuest Assistant Store Manager

The Assistant Store Manager is the first-line representative to William Warren Properties customers in the Store Manager’s absence. This position may be either full or part-time and may also be assigned to multiple sites to provide support or fill in when a manager is off duty.
This role is responsible for maintaining the daily operations of a site, assisting the Store Manager with revenue, delinquency management, occupancy, maintaining cleanliness standards, and customer service.
Responsibilities
- Actively listen to customers to understand their unique situation and recommend solutions that meet or exceed their needs and expectations.
- Become a subject matter expert on self-storage and explain it clearly to customers.
- Assist customers during challenging times and manage all aspects of the rental process, including:
- Converting sales
- Taking payments
- Selling merchandise
- Offering insurance
- Assisting with truck rentals at some locations
- Collecting past-due accounts
- Guiding customers on their storage journey
- Manage operational activities such as:
- Inspecting stores daily, including lock checks
- Maintaining an impeccable facility
- Performing minor maintenance and custodial duties; cleaning vacated units promptly
- Contacting vendors for routine maintenance repairs
- Accurately handling cash, balancing receipts, posting payments, and processing bank deposits
- Going to the post office
Requirements
- Preferred 1+ years in customer service or sales experience.
- Tech-savvy is a plus.
- Cash handling experience required.
- Must be available on weekends.
- Passion for guest service and sales.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Positive, outgoing personality with a strong work ethic.
- Insatiable appetite to learn new things.
- Experience in retail or service industry preferred.
Physical Demands and Work Environment
- Ability to walk, bend, stand, and stoop frequently.
- Ability to lift up to 35 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to push up to 50 lbs. frequently.
- Ability to lift above head frequently.
- Ability to operate tools and maintenance equipment using manual dexterity of hands and arms.
- Ability to communicate in written and verbal format frequently.
- Regular and consistent attendance at the assigned location is required.
Pay
$18.00 per hour + competitive bonus potential.
