Stormwater Maintenance Technician
Job Responsibilities
- Ensuring all daily tasks are completed in a safe manner
- Removing trash, leaves, sediment, and other debris from stormwater drainage systems
- Collaboration with other team members to accomplish daily tasks
- Understanding and following all Confined Space Entry protocols
- Performing daily vehicle inspections
- Assisting in daily work documentation
- Performing system repairs as necessary
- Other duties as needed
Job Requirements
- High School diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle
- The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods of time
- The ability to work in confined spaces
- Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to consistently adhere to them to ensure a safe working environment
- Proven track record of punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performance
- Ascending or descending ladders up to 30’ deep
- Balancing, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds (manhole covers, drywell covers and grates, catch basin grates), pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and walking carrying support equipment
- Standing next to and entering drywells, catch basins and stormwater manholes that can be 5’ deep or deeper
- Working near vehicle and heavy equipment traffic
