Stormwater Maintenance Technician

Job Summary

Torrent Resources, a CRH company, is seeking a Stormwater Maintenance Laborer to join their team. This position involves performing tasks related to cleaning stormwater structures and systems, including drywells, envibro systems, treatment systems, and stormwater inlets. The role also includes supporting the repair of stormwater structures as needed.

Job Responsibilities

• Ensuring all daily tasks are completed in a safe manner
• Removing trash, leaves, sediment, and other debris from stormwater drainage systems
• Collaboration with other team members to accomplish daily tasks
• Understanding and following all Confined Space Entry protocols
• Performing daily vehicle inspections
• Assisting in daily work documentation
• Performing system repairs as necessary
• Other duties as needed

Job Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent
• Valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a company vehicle
• The ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting heavy objects, working outdoors in varying weather conditions, and standing or walking for extended periods
• The ability to work in confined spaces
• Knowledge of safety protocols and the ability to consistently adhere to them to ensure a safe working environment
• Proven track record of punctuality, reliability, and consistent work performance
• Ability to ascend or descend ladders up to 30' deep
• Skills in balancing, climbing, kneeling, lifting up to 75 pounds (manhole covers, drywell covers and grates, catch basin grates), pushing, pulling, reaching, stooping, and walking carrying support equipment
• Ability to work near vehicle and heavy equipment traffic
• Ability to lift up to 75 lbs periodically throughout the day

Compensation

• The hourly pay rate is $22-$24/hr
