About the role

The position oversees the daily operations of the maintenance, repair and operations (MRO) storeroom and MRO Receiving. Responsibilities include inventory control and financial management, personnel management, and customer service.

Requirements

  • Valid California driver's license
  • Bachelor's degree in related field or equivalent experience
  • Experience with fiscal inventory, warehouse receiving, safety practices, retail sales, and computerized database systems
  • Supervisory and leadership experience
  • Knowledge of MRO, hardware supplies, and hazardous materials
  • Technical knowledge of warehouse equipment and ability to operate and maintain it

Qualifications

  • Minimum qualifications: Valid California driver's license, bachelor's degree, experience with fiscal inventory, and supervisory experience
  • Preferred qualifications: Extensive customer service and problem resolution skills, management experience in retail environments, and knowledge of Oracle Inventory software

Work Environment

Forklift certification is required within the first 90 days of employment. A valid California Driver's License is required. Work a flexible schedule; work occasional weekends and holidays as required. Frequent travel to business units. Adhere to SCM Logistics uniform and PPE policies. Position may require the employee to work with and/or be in areas where hazardous materials are present.

Special Requirements

This is a critical position, as defined by UC Policy and local procedures, and as such, employment is contingent upon clearing a criminal background check(s) and may include drug screening, medical evaluation clearance and functional capacity assessment.
