Stores Clerk - Union-SHB

Summary

Receives, verifies, unpacks, and stores items delivered to the kitchen; issues items to kitchen personnel, maintains inventories; assembles, measures, weighs and issues ingredients to the cold and hot production areas according to recipes.

Responsibilities

• Helps management track food and paper supplies, small wares.
• Receives food deliveries, noting correct counts and weights to insure accuracy; checks products for quality, quantity, freshness and damage; insures credit is given for damaged goods; signs invoices to verify delivery.
• May assist in taking inventory and placing orders.
• Reports shortages or other problems to the Executive Chef, Sous Chef or other members of the management team.
• Notifies the Executive Chef and or Sous Chef of any spoilage, breakage, shortage or any equipment malfunctions.
